As we wave goodbye to summer, our thoughts are turning to the Finance Year-End process. We're starting early this year to make everything as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
Based on feedback from last year, we’ll continue using a simple Microsoft Form for the 2024 Year-End process. However, it's essential that the Finance Volunteer and Group Coordinator for each group can access their MS Society email addresses ([email protected]).
To prepare, here are a few steps you can take to ensure you're ready:
Access your MS Society email account
Make sure you can successfully log in to your MS Society email account. This is crucial for staying updated with Year-End instructions and communications.
If you're having trouble accessing your MS Society email or need to reset your password, now's the perfect time to reach out to the Volunteer Support Team. They can help you log in or address any other issues you might have.
Update your transaction analysis
This is also a great time to ensure that your Branch Accounting Online transaction analysis is up to date. The more up-to-date your transactions are, the easier the Year-End process will be. We're also in the process of preparing the earmark transfer of funds, and having an up-to-date transaction analysis will ensure the smooth transfer of any funds to your group.

Decide who will complete the process
If your group has more than one Finance Volunteer or Group Coordinator, please decide locally who will complete the process. If you don't have someone in these roles, another member of your Coordinating Team will need to take on this responsibility. Let us know who this will be so we can ensure they have access to an MS Society email address ahead of time.
