The MS Helpline is reducing its hours

The MS Helpline is reducing its hours.

In response to an increase in demand for our helpline during the day - and following a successful trial – we’ll be changing our helpline hours to 9am to 7pm, Monday to Friday (previously 9am to 9pm) from Monday 3 July 2017.

The number of calls during daytime hours has been growing steadily and previously we weren’t able to meet demand as we didn’t have enough people answering calls at peak times. This meant people affected by MS were not receiving the help they needed.

During the pilot of the new hours we took an extra 156 calls which works out at 13 per week.

This change will mean we have more people on hand to support people affected by MS, who will be able to access better quality information and support when they need it most.
