Our values of ‘Bold, Expert, Ambitious, and Together’ were developed with people affected by MS a few years ago. These represent the organisation the MS community wants us to be.
But are we all demonstrating these values?
We’re running a series of online sessions where you can join volunteers throughout the MS Society to discuss what our values mean to you, how we ‘live’ them in everything we do and what can get in the way.
By joining an online session, you’ll get the chance to:
- Reconnect with our values
- Define how we behave to bring them to life
- Think about the things that get in the way of us living our values
Both our staff and volunteers are having these conversations. All your feedback and thoughts will feed in to a ‘framework of behaviours’. This will define how we do things, and what we all can expect from each other.
How does an online session work?
We’ve had fantastic feedback from volunteers who joined our previous online sessions. Everyone enjoyed connecting with people they wouldn’t usually meet and loved being able to join in without having to go out!
When you log in to an online session, you can see and interact with the other participants on your screen. Everyone gets the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and even take part in smaller discussion groups.
Living our values sessions are open to anyone who volunteers with us.
