Stop MS Appeal so far!

Our Stop MS appeal is aiming to raise £100 million to find treatments for everyone living with MS, and we’ve had an overwhelming response so far from volunteers and supporters!

Our TV advert has been viewed almost 1.2m times through a combination of the Telegraph’s and MS Society’s social and digital channels, thanks to volunteers and supporters sharing it far and wide. It’s also been seen by almost 1.3m viewers on Channel 4, as well as the thousands more when it was shown on Drama and Dave during October. It’s now in cinemas around the country and showing on video on demand services for ITV, Channel 4 and Sky.

We hit the headlines last month with the news that leading scientists agree that MS could be stopped, with treatments for everyone in late-stage trials by as early as 2025. The stars of our campaign - Jacqueline, Donna, Glyn, Nikki, Alastair and Charlotte, who all have MS, could be seen all over the media. We secured 27 pieces of national coverage, including the Mail Online, BBC Online, Financial Times, Metro News, The Sun, Daily Express, Times Scotland, Daily Record in Scotland and the Belfast Telegraph. TV coverage included the BBC 6 o’clock news, ITV Anglia, ITV Wales, Sky News, Channel 5 news and BBC World News. And we had and more than 200 pieces of regional coverage.

Since we launched five weeks ago, we’ve raised over £279,000 – that’s before our Stop MS-themed Christmas Appeal, which you’ll see more of on social media in December.

Our partnership with the Telegraph will continue to run until the end of December. And before the year is out, our Stop MS Appeal adverts will also appear in a number of papers (such as the Guardian, Daily Mail, Stylist and Evening Standard) and be seen by even more people through online advertising on Twitter and Youtube.

We simply wouldn’t have been able to create such an impactful campaign and reach the audiences we have without the generous support we've received from our partners, Publicis Health and MediaCom.

There’s all sorts of ways you or your group can help Stop MS, depending on what you enjoy doing.
