With autumn firmly upon us (don’t forget to put your clocks back tomorrow night…), we would normally be preparing to bring group volunteers together for our November Forums. This year, with so much change within the organisation on top of the pandemic, we’re having to do things differently.
We’re planning some online sessions in the last week of November / first week of December for you to meet the new Volunteer Support Team and hear how they’ll be working to support you going forwards. You’ll also be able to discuss the challenges of providing services and activities under COVID-19 restrictions, and to ask any questions about the current changes within the Society. The sessions will be organised geographically, and we’ll be writing to groups next month with more details.
In the meantime, some of you have been asking how you can access support from us during this transitional period after phase one of the staff restructure. We’re committed to ensuring that there are no gaps in service to our volunteers so, while the Volunteer Support Team put their new working practices in place, our Supporter Care Team (0300 500 8084) will continue to answer any day-to-day queries you may have. If you need help with any more complex issues, you should contact your existing LNO for the time being.
