Changes to our Executive Group

We’d like to share some news with you about a change to our Executive Group. Emma Whitcombe, our Executive Director of Engagement and Income Generation, will be leaving the MS Society in December.

Emma has been with us for six and a half years, but will be moving on from the organisation to make an exciting step overseas to Sweden.

Over the years she’s been here, Emma has made a great contribution in a variety of roles. She started in the role of Appeal Director, then moved into Executive Director of Fundraising, before finally moving into her role now to lead the Engagement and Income Generation Directorate.

During that time, she and the team have achieved some big firsts – establishing our landmark £100 million Stop MS Appeal, which is now at its half way point; delivering sector-leading special events and establishing a new and exciting fundraising income stream. As well as supporting the Executive Group to develop our new five year strategy. These successes enabled us to transform our income generation and achieve more for our community.

Emma feels hugely proud of her team for all they have delivered together with our volunteers. We are so grateful for her contribution to the MS Society and to have had her as part of our Executive Group, particularly in this challenging year - not least because it has required her and the team to re-write the MS Society’s approach to mass events as a result of COVID-19.

Emma will certainly be missed by us all and we all wish her the very best in her next adventure and the future.
