Our Stop MS Appeal bounces back

By 2025, we want to have raised £100m to fund research that will lead to breakthroughs in MS research and treatment. We launched the appeal publicly in 2019 and have already secured an incredible £54 million to support our fight to beat MS.

During the pandemic, we’ve had to come up with new and innovative ways to continue fundraising, such as My MS Walk, MS Walk Live and 100k Your Way. Now it’s time for a final push in 2020, to raise as much as we can to keep research and clinical trials moving.

What’s going on in the autumn appeal?

  • Facebook Live

We’ll be hosting a special Facebook Live event, where an MS researcher will give more information about how clinical trials work and will also be answering audience questions.

  • Virtual Christmas concert

Our annual Christmas concert (15 December) moves online this year, and you can join us for carols and readings. We’ll let you know more details, and how to get tickets, soon.

  • Culinary experience with Michelin-starred chef and restauranteur, Tom Kerridge

Join Tom on 11 December for a virtual cook along. Tickets will be £50 and we’ll let you know when they go on sale.

  • Wine-tasting experience with wine expert and critic, Jancis Robinson, OBE

Join Jancis on 17 December to taste her selection of exclusive wines from Corney & Barrow. Tickets will be priced at £250 per household and we’ll share more details with you soon.

  • Press campaign

Our Press Team have been busy finding stories for a December campaign that will focus on young people living with MS, with pictures from award-winning portrait photographer, Spencer Murphy.

  • Social media

Throughout November on Instagram and Twitter, we’re giving a behind-the-scenes look at clinical trials, and hearing directly from the researchers and participants involved.

How can I help?

You can support our appeal by joining one of our events, and/or spreading the word about them. If you’re on social media, please share our posts on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. We’ve also put some Stop MS artwork here for you to use.

£100m is a big target, but we’re getting there. With your help, we can get there quicker.
