100k Your Way

We’ve got a challenge that will spring our supporters into action up and down the UK even though social distancing guidelines are still in place and we can’t fundraise the way we normally would... 100k Your Way!

What is it?

Our Fundraising Team has been working hard to bring back our 100K Your Way challenge, and this summer it's bigger and better than ever!

We’re encouraging everyone to get involved and, as volunteers, you are so vital to our fundraising.

You can run, walk, cycle or anything else - your way. When you want, how you want, where you want. You can do it over a day, weeks or months. As individuals, or as a team. However it’s done, every person that participates will be helping to make sure no one has to face MS alone.

What's new?

This year we’ve made the 100K Your Way challenge more open and accessible than ever for our supporters, taking inspiration from Captain Sir Tom Moore. You don’t have to set a distance challenge, but instead just be inspired by ‘100’. Ideas could include:

  • Hop 100 times a day
  • Climb the stairs 100 times
  • Bake 100 cakes and buns and sell to friends and neighbours
  • Complete 100 laps of the garden
  • Grow a beard for 100 days
  • Make and sell 100 friendship bracelets

The options are endless....

Supporters/participants who raise £50 or more will get an MS Society t-shirt. And if you raise £100 or more, you’ll receive an MS Society medal to celebrate your achievement!

‘You can do it according to your body’

Wendy Duffy, who is 41 years old and was diagnosed with MS around 2 years ago, took on 100k Your Way to raise money to keep fit in the process. Here’s her story:

"When I got diagnosed I was regularly running 5K, but I started getting dizzy, vertigo, pins and needles and heavy legs. Eventually after numerous tests MS was confirmed. So I hung up my running trainers and got myself a bike hoping to stay fit.

Luckily I do also enjoy walking with the family. Last summer I took on 100k Your Way; cycling, walking and occasionally running to reach the target! That’s the best part of 100k Your Way; you can decide what exercise to do according to your body on that day.

For me raising money for the MS Society by taking on 100k your way was a no-brainer, I raised £810 and I’m really proud of that!"

Spread the word

We’d love to get as many people as possible taking part, so help us by getting involved, or spreading the word if you can.

They’ve all come together to talk about #100kYourWay and inspire our supporters to take part, however and wherever they want!
