Grants Get-togethers

We've heard feedback that you’d like more opportunities to talk about grants with other group volunteers. We know groups are in different positions with offering grants — some have been doing this for many years, while others are just starting. But whether you’re asking for advice or sharing your own experience, we want to support you to connect with each other.

So, we’re running Grants Get-togethers on Zoom, which are:

  • for any group volunteer involved in grants; whether you’re a Support Volunteer helping people to apply, or someone on your group’s grants panel assessing applications.

  • monthly, hour-long sessions that you can drop in to

What to expect

These are informal sessions to chat with other volunteers across the nations – with a grants focus.

Our Grants Coordinator will share updates about developments in our grants, like the Cost of Living Grants pilot that we're running. And you can ask any questions you might have about grants processes at your group.

We want these sessions to be as useful as possible, so we’d love them to be shaped by you. We might have particular themes, add short training or information sessions, or hold question time sessions....Please share your ideas and suggestions about what you need so we can shape future sessions.

How to join

We’re trying future sessions as drop-ins, instead of asking you to register, so that they’re more flexible. This does mean you won’t get an email with a meeting invitation, or a reminder before the session, so please add it to your diary or calendar.
