In feedback last year you said you’d like more opportunities to talk about grants with other group volunteers. We know groups are in different positions with offering grants – some have been doing this for many years, while others are just starting. But whether you’re asking for advice or sharing your own experience, we want to support you to connect with each other.
So, we’re running Grants Get-togethers on Zoom, which are:
for any group volunteer involved in grants; whether you’re a Support Volunteer helping people to apply, or someone on your group’s grants panel assessing applications.
monthly, hour-long sessions that you can drop in to - although we’ll ask you to register on Eventbrite to help us manage numbers (if a lot of people want to join, we’ll add another session).
What to expect
These are informal sessions to chat with other volunteers across the nations – with a grants focus. We don’t have an agenda, but if there is a particular topic you’d like to raise you can let us know when you register. We try to make sure the most common questions are discussed.
We want these sessions to be as useful as possible, so we’d love them to be shaped by you. We might have particular themes, add short training or information sessions, hold question time sessions....please share your ideas and suggestions about what you need so we can shape future sessions.
