Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration that recognises volunteers and everything you do to support the work of charities and community groups around the country.
From 1-7 June, organisations throughout the UK will be going all out to shout about the impact their volunteers make. We believe our volunteers are the best of the best, and we intend to make sure everyone knows it!
This year’s theme
The theme of Volunteers’ Week 2022 is, ‘A time to say thanks’ - an appropriate choice when we consider the vital role volunteers have played during, and after, the pandemic.
What we’ll be doing to celebrate
Sharing volunteer stories about volunteering with us throughout the week on our website and social media using the hashtags #VolunteersWeek and #MSVolunteers
Talking to staff, service users and supporters about the incredible impact our volunteers make and encouraging them to nominate volunteers for our newly launched Impact Awards
Sharing thank you messages from staff with our volunteers
Sharing social media assets on the Volunteer Website and encouraging everyone to spread the word about Volunteers’ Week
How you can get involved
Nominate a fellow volunteer for an Impact Award. Find more information here
Celebrate on social media with our social media assets
Help us shout about our volunteer stories on social media by reposting them with the hashtags #VolunteersWeek and #MSVolunteers
Organise a celebration event to acknowledge your achievements and say thank you to your team of volunteers. Don’t forget to share your pictures on social media with the hashtags #VolunteersWeek and #MSVolunteers
Our volunteers have gone above and beyond over the last couple of years. We look forward to recognising every one of you for the continued contributions you make, including those of you who have not been able to carry out your regular volunteering during the pandemic.
