Our new Executive Director of Services and Support

We’re pleased to announce that Sam Walker has been appointed as our new Executive Director (ED) of Services and Support.

As many of you will know, Sam’s been interim ED of Services and Support since December 2021. Since joining the MS Society in August 2017 as our Assistant Director of Information and Support, Sam has been responsible for overseeing the development of our national services and associated support functions to help people in the community live well with MS. This has included our Helpline and Living Well services, co-production, insight and impact (in services). She is already known to many in our community through her work with MS Society and her previous work in independent living.

Before joining MS Society, Sam was Chief Officer of Sutton Centre for Independent Living and Learning (SCILL), and before that she held senior roles at National Trust and Shopmobility.

This announcement comes after a rigorous three-month recruitment process. Sam impressed the panel with her clear and compelling vision to drive our strategy forward and her passion for the work we do to support the MS community.

Join us in congratulating Sam on her new role.
