Our new Executive Director of Engagement and Income Generation, Ed Tait, will join the MS Society in early September this year. He brings with him over 20 years of charity experience working in various senior leadership roles.
Most recently, in his role as Director of Fundraising at ActionAid UK, Ed developed a new Fundraising Strategy that saw a year-on-year increase in income and supporters. He oversaw their Customer Relationship Management Change Programme, embedded an innovation framework and co-chaired the Culture Group that developed the organisation’s Feminist Leadership Principles.
Ed has significant experience of leading Public Engagement programmes, having chaired the group responsible for all public-facing communications at ActionAid UK.
Prior to this, Ed was Director of Fundraising at Crisis, where he oversaw 90% income growth over six years. Ed has won a number of Third Sector Excellence and National Fundraising awards with his previous teams. He’s also a member of the Institute of Fundraising Standards Advisory Board.
Ed is very excited to join the MS Society. He’s inspired by our mission to stop MS, and our work to support and advocate for the 130,000 people living with MS. He’s looking forward to engaging with supporters who have a personal connection to the cause.
Ed lives in Essex with his wife and two children. When not working, he likes to read and cook. He also enjoys simple things – a glass of wine in the garden, or fish and chips at the beach!
Please join us in congratulating Ed on his new role.
