Introducing the Enthuse fundraising platform

We’ve been hinting at a new online fundraising platform for our groups to use. We’re very pleased to announce that it’s now here and ready to use.

What is Enthuse?

Enthuse is a fully MS Society-branded online fundraising platform for groups to raise money on! It’s very similar to JustGiving.

What can it do?

  • People can donate directly to your group on Enthuse, through one-off or regular donations

  • Supporters doing events to raise money for your group can set up their own fundraising pages on Enthuse

  • People can create teams on Enthuse to fundraise together

  • You can sell tickets to group events on Enthuse, so you don’t need to collect cash or use paper forms (more information on this will be released later)

What does it look like?

Take a look at the MS Society Enthuse page here.

You can also check out the Basingstoke and District Group’s Enthuse page here. They were part of our pilot programme. You’ll see that they’ve set up two fundraising events already and have raised over £1,200, which is going directly to their bank account.

Why should our group sign up to use Enthuse?

  • Donations will be paid monthly directly into your group's bank account

  • You'll have your own fundraising page and web address to share

  • You can personalise the main image and text

  • You’ll be notified directly about any new supporter or donation and will be able to contact them if they give their permission

What are the costs?

Page set up has been paid for centrally by the MS Society, so there’s no direct cost to groups.

Donations will have the following fees deducted before being passed on to groups:

  • Platform fee: 0% (donors have the option of making a 'gift' to Enthuse, like the JustGiving model)
  • Gift Aid fee: 5% of Gift Aid value
  • Payment provider fee: 1.9% + 20p (per transaction)

How do we receive the money we raise?

Enthuse will safely store donations and pay them directly into your group’s bank account. The payment will be received between the 16th and 20th of each month and will appear as ‘Enthuse’ on your bank statement. You can then look at your online report to see details of your donors and supporters.

Can our group still use JustGiving or another platform?

Yes, but the donations received through these platforms will continue to come centrally to the MS Society for our Finance Team to then distribute out to your group. One of the big benefits of using the Enthuse platform is receiving the funds quickly and directly.

How soon can we access Enthuse?

The platform is ready to use, and the bank account details of all our groups have been securely registered.

All you need to do is complete this form and our Fundraising Team will be able to set you up. You’ll receive a login which must be activated within 24 hours for security reasons.

What training will be provided?

We run regular training sessions to help you get to grips with how it works and show you how other groups have used it already. If you'd like to attend one of these, please register here.

We’ll also be providing written guidance and shorter ‘how to’ videos on the volunteer website.

What ongoing support will there be?

If you have any problems or concerns with the platform, Enthuse has a dedicated Charity Support Team that will be able to help. Our Fundraising Team will also be available to help with any issues by email at [email protected].
