Remembering Queen Elizabeth II

Yesterday evening, we heard the very sad news of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. On behalf of the MS Society, I want to extend our deepest sympathies to The Royal Family and all those affected.

Her Majesty the Queen has been a prominent figure in our lives for a very long time. She has dedicated years of her life to public duty and I know she'll be deeply missed by many of our staff, volunteers and the wider MS community.

This is a significant event and we know that everyone will respond to the news differently. We encourage you to keep talking and connecting with family and friends, and to seek any support you may need.

You may have questions about how it affects our work. A group is convening to work through the implications and any key decisions we need to make. We'll keep you updated, but for now we can confirm that:

  • We'll post a message of condolence on our social media channels and website.
  • Our MS Helpline, website and services are available to anyone who needs them.

Our thoughts are with The Royal Family and all those affected at this time.

Best wishes,

Nick.
