Calling all Communication Volunteers

Over the coming weeks we’ll be starting a pilot of a new Comms Network.

The network aims to connect volunteers who look after the communications for their group with each other, as well as the Volunteer Engagement and Communications Team.

The Comms Network will enable members to come together in an informal space every few months to seek advice, as well as share best practice, opinions and feedback on specific pieces of work.

We hope that by joining forces, members of the network will feel more supported and empowered to deliver brilliant communication materials to their group members. And that it will help the MS Society improve the quality of communications and engagement with volunteers on a national level.

We’ll then review the network after 12 months to see how beneficial everyone feels it is.

How will it work?

Quarterly online meetings, which will last no longer than 1.5 hours, will allow the group to meet and discuss topics suggested by network members and the Volunteer Engagement and Communications Team.

In between meetings, the Volunteer Engagement and Communications Team will approach network members for ad hoc feedback on key volunteer communications, such as Impact Awards communications, volunteer resources and any large-scale updates or reviews.

How to join

Anyone who looks after the communications for their group is welcome to join. Please email [email protected] to let us know you’re interested. We’ll share a poll with you so you can let us know which proposed dates and times of the first meeting suit you best.

We hope you can join us!
