Summer is fast approaching and we’re looking forward to our MS Walks returning this year in Cardiff, Glasgow, London and Manchester. Plus there's a new walk in Birmingham!
The walks couldn't happen without the generosity of our volunteers. If you can give some of your time to help at an MS Walk, we’d love to hear from you. We have various times and roles available throughout the day. There are no specific skills required — just enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.

How local groups can get involved
If you’re a local group in an MS Walk area, we’d love your support too! In return, we’ll include a line about how people can find information about the group in our stewardship emails.
We’ll offer a space at the event site for your group to hand out information and talk to participants. And you’ll also be able to use it as an opportunity to fundraise for your group, which can be hugely beneficial.
We’re looking for groups to help us promote the walks and support us on the day. This can be by:
Identifying areas that we can promote the walks in the locality for Manchester, Birmingham, London, and Cardiff, and helping to put banners up.
Handing out flyers to promote the walks and distributing them in supermarkets, libraries, community centres, gyms etc., (for example, is it possible for anyone at the London bucket collections to hand out MS Walk flyers?).
Attending the walks and speaking to participants about support in the local area.
Helping out on the day with tasks, such as route marshalling, helping to hand out t-shirts and maps at the start, and handing out medals to participants at the finish line.
Manchester and Birmingham are our first walks happening in May and June, so they’re the first ones we’d be looking for support with.
