Giving in other ways to stop MS
Whether you’re shopping online, or having a clear-out at home, there are lots of ways to fundraise to stop MS — and some of them won't cost you a penny.
Donating
There’s lots of ways to turn your recycling into donations through our fundraising partners.
Donate your old car through Charity Car or Give a Car. They’ll either sell or scrap your car and take a small admin fee.
Thrift+ make it easy to clear out your old clothes. Send them your pre-loved items, and you can opt in for the cash payouts to be donated to the MS Society. Use discount code MSSOCIETY to order three free clearout bags in which to post your items. Find out how to set up auto-donate here.
Did you know you can collect leftover currency to be donated to the MS Society? We’re encouraging volunteer groups to hold a ‘collection day’ or have a regular collection bucket at their events, as a helpful way to clear out old coins and notes, while fundraising for us. You can donate withdrawn, old and pre-euro currency, as well as sterling etc. Leftover Currency donate the complete exchange value, plus 5% extra. Our partners at Recycling for Good Causes will reuse and recycle your unwanted jewellery, gadgets and banknotes. The proceeds will help fund our work while saving precious raw materials.
The Recycling Factory will take your old Inkjet Cartridges and donate to our cause.
Selling
If you’ve had a clear-out and plan to sell your items online, you can still help stop MS. By using eBay for Charity, you can donate some or all of the money you make to us.
You can also sell your unwanted books though our partner WeBuyBooks.
Buying
With Christmas on the horizon, you can support us by buying your cards from the Cards for Good Causes or Help 32 Charities. And if you’re planning to do your festive shopping on Amazon or online from stores such as M&S, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and ASOS, consider using one of these options:
easyfundraising: Sign up to donate to us every time you shop online, at no cost to you. 7,000 brands are involved.
Everyclick and Give as You Live: Over 6,000 top stores will pay Give as You Live a percentage of what you spend when you purchase via the Everyclick app or website. 50% of that commission comes to us.
It’s very simple to get set up with both of these. And won’t cost you anything extra, as the cost is covered by the brand.
