Ramadan Mubarak!

Ramadan Mubarak to everyone observing Ramadan this month! Wishing you all joy, peace and love during this time.

Ramadan is taking place from Friday 28 February - Sunday 30 March, ending with the celebration of Eid.

Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, worship and community for Muslims. It takes place in the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, which is based on the lunar cycle. The Qur'an (The Muslim Holy book) was first revealed during the month of Ramadan to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

For Muslims, Ramadan is a sacred month of fasting. Some people with MS may find some of their symptoms get temporarily worse during periods when they aren’t eating or drinking. If you or your fellow volunteers are observing Ramadan and fasting during this time, you can read more about fasting and MS in our factsheet.

Noor has also told us about her experience with MS during Ramadan. You can read her blog here.

We wish everyone a happy and peaceful Ramadan and a joyful Eid celebration.
