Getting ready to celebrate Volunteers’ Week

Volunteers’ Week is just around the corner. Find out how we’ll be marking this special week and how you can get involved individually or as a group.
This year, Volunteers’ Week takes place from Monday 2 June to Sunday 8 June.
It’s a time for charities, voluntary groups, social organisations, and volunteers themselves to come together. And it’s a time to recognise the incredible impact that volunteering has on communities around the UK.
You can find a taster of how we’re planning to celebrate our volunteers below, but if you know a volunteer who’s made a difference, or you’re part of a brilliant group of volunteers, now’s the perfect time to think about how you’d like to celebrate Volunteers’ Week too.
Celebrating across our channels
We’ll be shouting out about our volunteers through our social media channels. Look out for a special video from some of our celebrity Ambassadors, celebrating the variety of volunteer roles here at the MS Society. We’ll also have some great blogs written by volunteers about what their volunteering means to them.
We’d love your support to spread these messages, so please follow us on social media and get ready to repost/share on your personal accounts and local group pages.
If you know a volunteer who’s gone above and beyond this year, and they’re happy to be featured on your social media, why not think about giving them a shout out?
Look out for content across our other channels marking Volunteers’ Week too, such as our website and emails. And if you’re located near one of our shops, you’ll spot some Volunteers’ Week posters that we hope will encourage people to check out volunteering opportunities in the area.
Staff event
During the week we’ll also be inviting staff to an internal session to hear from some volunteers. They’ll speak about their roles and how they’re pivotal in helping our organisation and supporting people living with and affected by MS.
