Stop MS Appeal: Thank you for helping make 10 years of progress possible

For the last decade, the Stop MS Appeal has been a beacon of hope for everyone affected by MS. When it launched in 2015, years of scientific progress had brought major advances in our understanding of the condition.

It was time to turn those discoveries into treatments, and we committed to raising £100 million over 10 years to make that vision a reality

Thanks to the incredible support of the MS community, including our volunteers, we’ve achieved that goal and raised over £101.9 million!

What began as an ambitious target became a journey of milestones, breakthroughs, and growth. Over the past decade, the Appeal has helped drive extraordinary progress.

Our researchers have driven radical change in the clinical trials landscape. They've dramatically increased our knowledge of the mechanisms of MS progression, and transformed the myelin repair field. And Octopus, the world’s first multi-arm, multi-stage clinical trial for progressive MS, was launched to make testing treatments faster and more efficient.

Sir Vernon Ellis, former Stop MS Appeal Board Chair, said: “Our Stop MS Appeal wasn’t an end destination, but a foundation which we’ll continue to build on.”

We’re proud of what’s been achieved together, and excited for what comes next. The momentum to stop MS has never been stronger.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your time, energy and commitment have helped create lasting change, and we couldn't have done it without you.
