New Me and My Mug feature!

We’re thrilled to be launching a brand-new feature this month called Me and My Mug. It's designed to help you to get to know and connect with your fellow volunteers.

Each Me and My Mug will spotlight a volunteer, who’ll tell us about their favourite mug and answer fun questions about themselves and their volunteering.

We hope it will be an enjoyable way of getting to know one another and allow you to connect with MS Society volunteers based across the UK who have similar interests.

Where can I find Me and My Mugs?

As you’ll know, we’re rolling out Assemble to volunteers over the coming months. During this time, we’ll be uploading Me and My Mugs to both Assemble and the Volunteer Website. Once everyone’s on the new system, we’ll publish them exclusively on Assemble.

We’ll post each new Me and My Mug to the Assemble News feed, where it’ll appear for everyone under ‘My News’.

You can also select the ‘Me and My Mug’ tag under ‘My News’ if you’d like to include them in your customised feed. (Don’t worry if this makes no sense at the moment – you’ll find step-by-step guidance for using the News feature in your welcome message when you first log onto Assemble!)

You’ll get a message through Assemble each time a Me and My Mug piece featuring someone in the same role as you is published. We’ve also created a Me and My Mug archive on the Assemble Document Hub so you can browse by role.

An opportunity to connect

If a Me and My Mug author is happy to be contacted, we’ll include details on how to message them through Assemble in their piece.

We encourage you to get in touch if:

• You feel you could offer support to the author or would like to ask them for advice and tips to help you in your volunteering

• You’d like to connect over shared interests

• You’re considering applying for another volunteering role with us and you’d like to ask the author questions about their experiences in that role

We hope this will make it easier for you to connect with your fellow volunteers and support you in your volunteering.
