Over the last few months, we’ve been gathering views about how we can renew and develop our local networks. We want to better support you to make sure everyone with MS has the same opportunity for lifelong support within a strong, flourishing MS community, wherever they live.
This week, we’re writing to Chairs and committee members with a leaflet containing our bold but practical proposals for renewing our local networks. It also sets out details of how you can feed back your thoughts and suggestions over the next few weeks. You can view the leaflet here.
This opportunity to shape our proposals also forms the theme of our autumn volunteer forums. We’d love to see every branch or group represented at these, as they are a chance to discuss the programme in more detail, and to tell us what you think.
Our network of branches is the heart of the MS Society. We’re committed to helping you build on your strengths and focus on what works best. We know from many of you, and from people affected by MS, this means making essential changes. We all want our services and support to achieve the greatest possible impact for people with MS. We also want our volunteers to be better supported, so the time you give us is always valuable and rewarding.
While our proposals present exciting opportunities that many of you have been asking for, we appreciate they also involve significant change over the next three years. We’re committed to working with branches on a case-by-case basis to understand what it means for you. If you’d like to discuss further the potential implications for your branch with your LNO, do get in touch.
It’s not just branches that we want to hear from. We also want to hear the views of our members.
