MS Superstar fundraisers!

Keswick based MS Superstar fundraiser, Yvonne Booth, started to organise fundraising hiking events when her husband Duncan was diagnosed with MS in 2010. Working with friends, she devised a 10 peak course and set the challenge to cover the distance in 10 hours.

And the 10in10 was born.

The event proved popular and Yvonne made further improvements with the addition of the 5 peaks in 5 hours event (5in5) in 2013.

Yvonne now fundraises all year round, with the annual 10in10/5in5 in June, the new Family 5in5 in September and people are able to do their own event in their own time with Everyday 10in10/5in5. They have even added a super tough Ultra Run in recent years.

This year's 10in10 took place last month - in the photo you can see The Mountain Goats, a team of staff from the MS Society, taking on the challenge!

Yvonne and Duncan have raised nearly £360k for the MS Society since 2010, dedicating this to various research projects focussing mainly on aspects of myelin repair. To find out more about 10in10 Events, visit 10in10.org.uk where you can see more about Yvonne and Duncan's incredible story.
