Restarting group social activities and meetings

  • Socials and meetings in managed venues
  • Socials and meetings outdoors
  • Events run by a professional organisation (such as a canal boat trip)
  • Coach trips
  • Meetings in private homes
  • Socials and meetings in unmanaged venues (where no suitable managed venue is available)

If you’d like to restart any of the above activities, the first step is to attend one of our 'Social' Zoom sessions. We're holding regular sessions to explain the new guidance you’ll need to follow to ensure your activities or meetings are COVID safe. Each session will run for a maximum of 90 minutes. A short presentation will be followed by the chance to ask questions.

We need every group wishing to restart a group social activity or meeting under new guidance to send a volunteer to one of these sessions.The volunteer who attends needs to be a Coordinating Team member and/or the person who will lead on completing the new Guidance documents. You must not restart a service unless a volunteer from your group has attended a Zoom session, as the restarted activity will not be covered by our insurance.
