We’ve joined The Richmond Group of Charities!

We’re incredibly pleased to share that we’ve joined The Richmond Group of Charities, a coalition of 14 (now 15, including us!) charities.
What does the group do?
The Richmond Group works to influence decision makers to change the health system in ways that will benefit people with long-term or complex conditions. The group is passionate about bringing lived experience into the very heart of health decision-making. Their goal is to help make changes that will most improve the outcomes for and experiences of the people they represent.
What will joining the group help us do?
The Richmond Group believes its sector-leading members have the experience and capability to support problem solving, policy development and service design. We want to make sure we’re part of the conversation and help enable more support for people with long-term health conditions. We’ve already started contributing to policy debates by participating in various groups.
As Sarah Rawlings, our Executive Director of Research and External Affairs, says:
‘It is vital people with MS get the care and support they need. In line with our new ambitious strategy, we want to shape policy and push for improvements in health and care services.
We know the NHS is under significant pressure and being part of The Richmond Group will give us another opportunity to amplify the voice of our community to ensure we are doing everything we can to help.’
We’ll also continue our work with the We Are Undefeatable campaign, which offers tools and resources to inspire and motivate people living with long-term conditions to get moving.
We look forward to bringing you more updates soon once we’ve started working closely with The Richmond Group.
