Meet our Safeguarding Team

Richard Woodley

I'm the Safeguarding Lead for the MS Society. Previously, I was a Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser with the Diocese of Oxford. I honed my 35 years of safeguarding expertise as a Detective with Thames Valley Police, where I led a Public Protection department specialising in child abuse investigations. Since then, I’ve qualified as a further education lecturer and safeguarding children trainer.

Inderjit (Indy) Sunner

As Safeguarding Officer for the MS Society, I bring over 12 years of experience in education – I’ve served as a Deputy Head and Designated Safeguarding Lead. My expertise in safeguarding and disability awareness led to a Metropolitan Police Commendation for my leadership on a Disability and Safeguarding Awareness Project. I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Trauma and Mental Health (Practitioner Status), awarded with Distinction, and continue to champion trauma-informed and inclusive safeguarding practices.
