New resource for Menopause Awareness Month

It’s Menopause Awareness Month!
You can find more information about Menopause Awareness Month in the article we shared with you last month.
To help raise awareness and understanding of perimenopause and menopause and provide support for everyone going through it, we’ve put together a new resource for you.
Menopause guidance
Our written guidance explains what menopause is, how it affects people and outlines the support available. And we’ve set out practical steps for volunteers living with MS who’re experiencing menopause or supporting someone going through it.
Read the guidance here.
You might also find The Black Women’s Network’s menopause guide for Black women useful.
Reminder: our upcoming Introduction to Menopause webinar
You’re invited to our free webinar with Dr Jennifer Cooney, Health Physiologist, Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner and Health Coach, who’ll introduce what menopause is and its impact. Open to all MS Society staff and volunteers, this session is designed not only for those experiencing menopause but for anyone who would like to better understand it and feel confident supporting others.
When: Wednesday 22 October at 12pm-1pm
Where: online
Find out more and register here.
We’ll be sharing the recording in our November Volunteer Newsletter for anyone who can’t attend.
