Accuracy and security

To ensure that you’re sharing up-to-date information, we urge you to

  • use links from our live website, not links you’ve previously bookmarked or saved to your favourites in your web browser

  • share recent downloads, not older versions

If in doubt, check a link or document is accurate by:

  • Making sure it has our new logo, which you can find at the top left-hand side of our website here. You can download it here.

  • Making sure it has our current postal address and contact details, as noted in our Privacy Notice. This is: Carriage House, 8 City North Place, London N4 3FU.

  • Checking that all forms collecting information have a link to our privacy notice and is secure – that the web address starts with https

Top tip: Test links before sharing to make sure it isn't broken (for example, that it doesn't land at an error message).

If you’re still unsure, contact the Volunteer Support Team on 0300 500 8084 (select option #3) or at [email protected] for advice. Please also let the Volunteer Support Team know if you’ve found an error at a live link.

Why is this important?

We have a duty to ensure that the information we share is accurate and up to date. By doing so, we can ensure that:

  • forms collecting personal information will be secure and tell people why we’re collecting their information and how they can contact us if they change their mind

  • if someone writes to us, it reaches us at the right address and doesn't fall into the wrong hands

Over time, our processes may change and information in older documents may become outdated, so it’s important to always use the most recent link or copy of a document.

Minimising risks

Most of our documents and forms are now online, minimising the risk of post going astray. However, there are some circumstances where paper copies may still be posted to us, so ensuring they reach us safely is one little step we can take to keep personal data safe.

Please check your forms contain the right postal address, noted above, and encourage users to email us instead.
