Introducing the new Orbi app

Orbi is a 12-week, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)-based digital programme to support emotional wellbeing alongside life with MS.
It was developed with the same King’s College London researchers we're funding to develop the Refuel-MS fatigue-management app.
It’s also linked to the COMPASS-MS study, which we’re funding. COMPASS-MS grew out of COMPASS, which was a more general trial for people with chronic health conditions, including MS. COMPASS showed that digital therapy reduced anxiety and depression, as reported by 89% of patients. But its reliance on therapist assistance was too expensive and impractical, so the Orbi app was developed as a purely digital version.
What does Orbi do?
Orbi can help people to:
- Develop ways to manage uncertainty and ongoing worries
- Build routines that fit around changing energy levels
- Improve sleep habits and manage stress
- Prepare for conversations with healthcare professionals, and make better use of support
- Work with negative or unhelpful thoughts
How does Orbi work?
- Orbi is self-guided and used at someone’s own pace
- The programme runs over 12 weeks, with short practical activities
- It works best when someone focusses on roughly one topic per week, helping build consistency and real habits over time
- It’s designed to be used alongside medical and professional care, not instead of it
