Join our Board in 2026

We’re looking for three Trustees (one each for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) and a Treasurer to join our Board in 2026.

Having the leadership of a strong and effective Board is fundamental to our success. And understanding what matters most to our community is vital to the impact we deliver. We know we’ll have to take bold, calculated risks to achieve our vision. And this will need to be balanced by robust Board governance. The Board of Trustees has reviewed and updated the structure and remit of its expert committees. So, we’re looking for some new members to join the team.

Trustees

Trustee candidates need to have current or recent experience of devolved political, health, and/or social care systems in Northern Ireland, Scotland, or Wales. And live or work predominately in the nation they wish to apply for.

Treasurer

Treasurer candidates need to have a professional qualification in accounting, tax or investment management. And the ability to provide steady, informed leadership in financial decision making.

How members of our Board are chosen

All members of our Board are chosen for their skills and diversity of lived experience. This ensures that our Board has a wide range of expertise to effectively scrutinise and challenge our work. And being led by a Board that understands MS is fundamental to how we work. Most of our Trustees have a personal connection to MS, either because they have MS or someone they care about does.
