Get involved in the refresh of our Handling Data Safely e-learning

Our Handling Data Safely UK GDPR e-learning for volunteers is being reviewed to make sure it’s up to date, relevant and as helpful as possible - and we’d love your input.
Handling data safely is a vital part of volunteering with us. This training helps ensure we protect people’s personal information, build trust, and meet our legal responsibilities. Your input will help make sure the course reflects real volunteer experiences and is practical, clear and useful in your role.
There are two ways you can get involved:
Share your experience
We’re looking for volunteers to tell us how they use data in their role. This could be a short video (2-3 minutes) or a written testimonial (about 150-200 words) about what you currently do with data as part of your volunteering, and how you follow best practice.
To give you an idea of what’s involved, here’s an example from the current course: Volunteer video example – Handling Data Safely course
Time commitment: around 10-30 minutes. If you'd like to be involved, we'll need your contribution during April.
Review the updated course
Once the refreshed course is ready, we’d welcome volunteers to test it and share feedback on what works well and what could be improved.
Time commitment: around 45-60 minutes. If you'd like to be involved, we'll need your input in May.
You can take part in one or both of these opportunities.
If you’re interested, or would like more information, please get in touch at [email protected] by Friday 1 May.
