Updated risk management e-learning

We’re pleased to introduce our Risk management for volunteers e-learning course (formerly known as Health and safety for Group Volunteers), designed to give the latest guidance and practical knowledge to support you in your role with the MS Society.

Keeping everyone safe is a shared responsibility, and this refreshed course will help you feel confident in managing risks and responding to health and safety incidents while volunteering. The course covers:

  • The importance and responsibilities of their role.

  • Which processes and forms to use for different activities (e.g. risk assessments and SLAs).

  • Includes videos that take volunteers step by step through risk assessment form completion.

  • How to use Assemble to record services, events, and upload documents.

  • When and how to report accidents and incidents.

  • Where to go for further support.

Going forward, this course will need to be completed every three years by Group Coordinators and Health and Safety Volunteers, to ensure everyone’s knowledge remains up to date and in line with current guidance and best practice.

If you hold one of these roles, you’ll receive an email from Talent LMS with a link to get started.

If you’re a volunteer in a different role and would be interested in completing this course, please contact [email protected] to be enrolled.
