We’re now 10 days away from Volunteers' Week 2021, which runs from 1 - 7 June. And we’re so excited to celebrate you and your incredible contributions. We want to shout out to everyone who will listen, that we think MS Society volunteers are best of the best.
We’ll be sharing stories from our community and posting on social media about what you do, how you do it, the impact you’re making and the support you give to people affected by MS. We’ll be releasing content throughout the week on our website, social media channels and the Volunteer Website, so keep your eyes peeled for some exciting content.
We'd also love you to join in with Volunteers’ Week celebrations, in whatever way you’d like to. With the increase in the use of digital connection with one another, this could now be easier than ever. You could:
Organise a celebration event virtually or in person in a safe way - to acknowledge your achievements, as well as those of other volunteers in your area.
We’ve designed some fun social banners and frames, which you can use on your social media platforms or video calls. You can find these here. Why not take photos, a screenshot or video or your celebrations (ask for permission first) and share them on your social media channels. Find our social media guidance here.
Use the tag #VolunteersWeek and/or #MSVolunteers, so we can see your posts and repost them on our channels too.
Nominate other volunteers for a Shining Star award for their outstanding contributions - if you do this quickly, we’ll do everything we can to get the award to you in time for presentation during Volunteers’ Week. Find out more here.
Get your local press involved. See our guidance on contacting local press here.
If you have any questions about our Volunteers’ Week celebrations, please don't hesitate to email our Volunteering Team.
We hope you have a great Volunteers’ Week 2021.
