GDPR eLearning – Keeping Data Safe

GDPR training is important and relevant if you’re in a role that has access to personal data. Having access to personal data could mean using online systems such as the Portal or an MS Society email account. But it also includes simpler, paper-based, activities such as recording attendees’ names, addresses and phone numbers at the start of an event.

If you’re in any of the roles listed here, and you haven’t done GDPR training with the MS Society in the last two years, we need you to complete the course.

If you received an email from ‘MS Society e-learning gateway’ (containing a link to the eLearning) before June, please complete it as soon as possible, and by Sunday 31 July at the latest. If you have more than one email address, please check them all.

Why is GDPR – Keeping Data Safe so important?

It’s important because, as a charity, we have a legal responsibility to keep personal data secure and safe. The short training will support you in your role to do this. It should take no more than 45 minutes to complete, and doesn’t all have to be done at once. Find out why it’s vital that you complete the course.
