Raising MS awareness at the Super League rugby

A few months ago, we told you that we’d been offered digital billboard space across the UK to use for free throughout the year. You can find out more about this here.

We’re now pleased to let you know that we’ve secured another generous deal with European Sports Media. They’ll be promoting our message at the majority of Super League rugby fixtures until the end of 2025. We’ll get three minutes of advertising on their pitch-side LED screens at over 150 Rugby Super League matches. With broadcasts on Sky Sports and the BBC, this could add up to nearly 40 million viewers!

On top of this, we’ll have a banner on their website and ads on the live Super League Radio station. And we already received the bonus of pitch side screens at the international France v England match back in June.

This is a wonderful opportunity to increase awareness of MS as a condition. And to build brand recognition of the MS Society with UK audiences beyond the MS community.

Our key messages are:

  • Our new UK prevalence figures for MS
  • Early signs and symptoms of MS
  • Encouraging people to speak to their GP if they have symptoms

How can I help?

We know our volunteers raise awareness of MS whenever they can. But if you’d like to support this campaign with an extra push, we’ve created some materials you can share on your social channels. And a poster to use at events or collections to help us spread the word. You can find all these resources via the links below:

And if you spot one of our ads on TV, or live at a match, please send a photo to [email protected].
