Become an ‘Early Adopter’ of Assemble

As announced in the last Volunteer Newsletter, we’ll be launching our brand-new volunteer management system, Assemble, from January 2026 onwards.
We’ll be rolling out the system to all volunteers in phases over a six-month period, so we can ensure you have the support you need when you log in. However, we’re inviting those of you who are eager to get on board to do so by becoming an ‘Early Adopter’. All you need to do is sign up by Sunday 30 November. You can find details on how to sign up below.
Why become an Early Adopter?
We’ve been working with our Assemble Volunteer User Panel over the past year. They’ve represented volunteers’ perspectives, been involved with user testing and provided insight to make sure that the new system meets the needs of our volunteers.
By becoming an Early Adopter, you’ll have the opportunity to gain access to the live system first and see how it works, update your contact details and start carrying out tasks relating to your roles (more on this to follow!).
In return, we’ll understand how the system’s working from a user perspective. Essentially, the Early Adopter group will trial the live system first, ahead of the core rollout to volunteers. Early Adopters will be vital to our understanding of how to support volunteers with logging in and using Assemble.
It’s important to note that during this first stage, the system might require further development, which will be reviewed by our project team. We’ll be asking for feedback and measuring volunteer engagement with Assemble.
Who can become an Early Adopter?
The invitation to become an Early Adopter is open to all volunteers, but we encourage those of you in the following roles to sign up. This is because many of you’ll be using Assemble regularly to carry out tasks relating to your role.
Group Coordinators
Council Chairs
Trustees
Admin Volunteers
Health & Safety Volunteers
Finance Volunteers
Communication Volunteers
How to sign up
Please sign up here by Sunday 30 November if you’d like to become an Early Adopter of Assemble.
Support
There’ll be lots of training resources in place to support you on Assemble once you have access. Why not take a peek at some of our Assemble videos now?
We’ve pulled together a short video to introduce the system, giving you a sneak peek of what it’ll do.
This video will take you through how to log into Assemble for the first time and what to do if you've forgotten your password.
In this video we talk you through the main features of the Assemble homepage.
