Launching Assemble

We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting the launch of our new volunteer management system, Assemble. You can find all you need to know about Assemble here.
As you’ll know, Assemble is one of multiple connected systems that form a new data platform we’ve been developing called Sage. The complexity and importance of the project mean the launch of Assemble is coming later than first planned. You can find out more here. However, we’re excited to share that next month, all going well, we’ll begin the steps to switch the new Sage system on. And Assemble will go live soon after!
Preparing for the January launch
As explained in the Project Mead update, we’re launching a new structure for our services called MS Help next year. As it’s likely some staff members will move into new teams and new roles over the coming months to support this, we’ve decided to launch Assemble to the first volunteers in January. By then the relevant staff will be fully trained on Assemble and ready to support volunteers to use it.
Rollout plans for Assemble
Over the coming months, we’ll be inviting volunteers to become ‘Early Adopters’. This invitation will be for all volunteers, but we encourage those of you in the roles listed below to sign up. This is because many of you will be using Assemble regularly to carry out tasks relating to your role. Keep a look out in the next newsletter for details on how to become an Early Adopter!
Group Coordinators
Council Chairs
Trustees
Admin Volunteers
Health & Safety Volunteers
Finance Volunteers
Communication Volunteers
We’ll be sharing plans on the rollout of Assemble for those of you who don’t wish to become Early Adopters very soon!
Rest assured, we’ve been working on lots of guidance and support to help you get started on Assemble when we come to launch.
Looking ahead
Thank you for your patience. 2026 will be the year of transformation and we look forward to carrying on this journey with you!
