Health and safety updates and policy review

We all have a duty to ensure conditions are as safe and healthy as possible — for the members of the MS community who attend our activities, and the volunteers who support them.
Health and Safety Policy review — Can you help?
We're looking for volunteers to help us review the Health and Safety policy that informs our risk management process.
If you'd like to be involved, please contact Jo Duffy, Head of Health and Safety, on [email protected]. You don't need to have any specialist knowledge of health and safety — just a commitment to providing the best possible environment for those we support.
Updated documents
We’ve updated our risk assessments and guidance forms. The way you complete them remains the same, but they look a bit different and will hopefully be easier to understand. No changes have been made to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
You can find the new forms for your social events and activities here and for your fundraising events and activities here.
Reporting reminder
Don’t forget to report any accidents or incidents at your events and activities. Doing this as soon as possible means we can deal with issues quickly and effectively to keep everyone safe..
Support available to you
If you need help completing any of the health and safety forms, the Volunteer Support Team are on hand — [email protected] or 0300 500 8084 (#3)..
We also offer Health and Safety discussion sessions with Andy Grant, our Health and Safety Officer. These are available on the first Tuesday of every month from 3pm-3.30pm on Zoom. If you have any health and safety queries, feel free to drop in to speak to Andy using this Zoom link:

Finally…
Keep an eye out in the coming months for information on health and safety audits.
