Accessing videos hosted by Vimeo
Vimeo's a video platform where we host some of our videos. From September 2025, Vimeo requires age verification if you’re logged in.
If you’re not logged in, you can watch our videos without verification. If you’re logged in and you don’t wish to complete age verification, simply log out of Vimeo to watch our videos.
If you wish to view the video while logged in, you’ll be prompted to verify your age. Select one of the following options to complete the process.
Age estimation selfie
When prompted to verify your age, select the ‘Selfie only’ option.
You’ll be taken to the ‘verify with a selfie’ page. Select ‘continue’.
You’ll be taken to the ‘Get ready to take your photo’ page. Select ‘continue’.
You’ll then be prompted to take a selfie with your smartphone or computer’s webcam. You’ll be asked to move your face to the left or right. This will be indicated by arrows.
When the process is complete, you’ll be taken to the next page. If it reads ‘Your age has been verified’, click ‘Go to Vimeo’ to return to the video you wanted to view.
If you’re taken to a page that says your verification was unsuccessful, you’ll be prompted to contact Vimeo support, who’ll let you know your options.
Alternatively, you can verify your age with a government-issued ID and a selfie, or with a credit card, as below:
Government-issued ID and selfie
Select the ‘Government ID and selfie’ option.
When prompted, follow the steps above to take a selfie.
When prompted, take an image of your ID with your phone’s camera or computer’s webcam. Make sure your camera is in focus and the details on your document are clearly shown.
Credit card
Select ‘credit card’.
When prompted, fill in the requested credit card details.
You can find more information about the age-verification process on the Vimeo website.
