Familiarise yourself with our volunteer website - the section on fundraising, campaigning and raising awareness includes a range of resources to support you in your role
Join our Campaigns Community for news of quick online actions you can promote and updates on policy issues that affect MS
Spend some time on the MS Society website - particularly the campaigns section to learn about our national campaigning priorities
Find out about local MS services. Go to near me on the MS Society website for the details
Research your local MP, MSP or MLA on They Work For You. In Wales, use the National Assembly for Wales website to learn about your AM
Check your local press websites to identify campaigning issues within your community

Networking
Keep in touch with your Regional/External Relations Officer (R/ERO) to ask any questions you may have
Attend an upcoming local meeting, event or social get together - they’re a great opportunity to meet other volunteers and members and gain an understanding of the work of your local MS Society group
Look out for volunteering forums and learning opportunities organised by the MS Society in your area - all upcoming volunteer events are listed on the volunteer website
Remember to respond to emails and messages - if you have been included, then your involvement and contribution is valued and important
