Growing our community

We want to ensure that we’re providing the best possible support for people living with MS.

Our MS community is hugely diverse. Together we campaign for change, provide support and information, and drive forward progress in research. Our ultimate goal is to stop MS.

And to do this we want to transform our membership to be as inclusive and relevant to as many people in the MS community as possible.

Michelle Mitchell, CEO, leaving MS Society - update

Michelle Mitchell, our Chief Executive, will be leaving the MS Society at the end of October to take up the position of CEO of Cancer Research UK.

Michelle has been with us since 2013 and has made a huge contribution in that time. Thanks to her vision, energy and expertise, we’ve made great strides towards our mission through a renewed focus on the things that matter most to people with MS. We’ve benefited greatly from Michelle’s determination to increase our impact and make every penny of our donors’ money count by working creatively, efficiently and at pace.

Nominate a volunteer for an Impact Award!

Let us know how they've gone above and beyond to create impact in any area of our work, so we can shine a spotlight to acknowledge and celebrate it.

Library service at MS National Centre closure

On Friday 20 July the library service based at MS National Centre in London will close.

The library has been a great information resource for a number of years, but the number of people using the service has fallen. And we've seen an increase in people calling our MS Helpline and using our website for information and support.

We’ll continue to provide support and information through our website, MS Helpline and local services and support.
